Has anyone ever replaced their laptop or PC with a tablet?

I imagine if you are a gamer you probably wouldn't.

Personally I haven't I have ps5 if I want to play games or I can play it on my laptop or phone. Work is mostly done on laptop or tablet, it really depends on what you do, since nowadays tablets and phones are really powerful, but laptop is laptop at the end of the day. It really comes down to preferences, what you do in life, and if you think it will suit your preferences and will fulfill your expectations.

Thanks. My PC died on my a couple of years ago. I loved it. So I had to use my old laptop which I hated from day one.

I researched processors, motherboards etc then had a PC built from PC specialist, but that was about 10/11 years ago. It's hard to keep up with the ever changing hardware.

Just trying to figure out if I could get away with a tab S10 ultra (when they come down in price and get a keyboard.

I was going to get a laptop originally until the tablets caught my eye.

Tab s10 ultra is really brilliant choise, but again depends what you expect from it, if you want play games, draw etc it will do most things that laptop does and tab s10 ultra is powerful one. Like I said really comes down to your references, but Tab s10 ultra is great choice 👍

Thank you 😊 I appreciate your thoughts. I have time to think about it some more as I don't suppose the price will come down for some time.

I play games on my phone. I played the sims lol on my PC. There's a lot of fighting games that I'm not really into that so I don't miss out on those not having a PC.

I really want to try drawing but I've looked at some youtube videos and I really think it will take a lot of time and patience because to start with I am don't draw lol, let alone know how to use layers etc but it looks so good. Always wanted to be able to draw and paint as I love colour

Yes, I ditched my personal laptop when I went Tab S7+ with keyboard case, then an S8 Ultra then shifted away from that when I went ZFOLD with DeX.

Note I do own two Galaxy Book Pro2 purely because I hate the work Dell screens, but it's low use.

95% of what I need to do could be done on a tablet with keyboard case. I find the odd work apps and multi window copy pasting tricky, but if your surfing, meetings, O365 to answer you question YES and you don't need to lug around a laptop.

Laptops demonstrably offer superior functionality across the board. Tablets inherently possess significant limitations.

Copying and pasting between applications on a tablet is cumbersome, requiring considerably more steps than on a laptop.

Tablets are suitable primarily for browsing, video consumption, and music playback. Laptops provide greater control over advertising and offer broader software compatibility; many applications either lack tablet versions or function with reduced capabilities.

Finally, laptops typically exhibit greater longevity. In conclusion, tablets can not effectively replace laptops.

Thank you.

I did wonder if a tablet would last as long as a laptop.

I was lost when my PC died because it could do most things. My laptop struggles to stay connected to WiFi, but it's old. I have felt restricted and that was a big concern of mine if I just went for a tablet.

Thank you for your thoughts, I appreciate it.

My son uses my old S8 Ultra with a Samsung kickstand, mainly for gaming and socials, if you can stretch with a deal to the S10 Ultra say with a free keyboard, kick stand.

Warning though you will be up to £1000 which is mid range gaming laptop.

My advice go into a Samsung Experience store if you have one nearby or EE have them, take your time and play around with say an S10 ultra, S10 and S9 FE, lets you decide if any are up to the task for you and worth the extra.
