Keyboard wrong language

New galaxy tab10, keyboard is set to UK English but it's not displaying in UK format.  It's qwerty but things like shift 2 or shift 3 etc are all wrong and no € keyboard.  Rebooting doesn't resolve

Change your Google Play country

In a browser, go to pay.google.com.

At the top, click Settings.

Under 'Payments profile', next to 'Country/Region', click Edit .

To create a new Google Pay profile and link it to a new country or region: ...

The Google Play Store automatically changes to the new country or region

That's showing as united kingdom (gb) but tbh I'm confident that setting in no way would affect the Samsung keyboard layout. Looking on Samsung site I'm not the only one with this issue and it's isolated to this tablet

This must be a tablet issue elsewhere. Just installed Google keyboard (gboard) and that has the exact same issue. I have confirmed 100% all language and regions settings of the tablet are UK but onscreen keyboards are deffo not UK and are US. Some people suggesting checking dex but that's UK. My physical keyboard works fine, it's just on screen keyboards
