I have deleted photos which I now wish I had kept. Is there anyway I can get them back.

Unfortunately there's not much you can do. By any chance did you back up your photos on Google photos there's a chance you could find it there.

If you've deleted them recently then they could be in the recycle bin. Check settings, storage then recycle bin.

Go to recently deleted then recover them if you have deleted them a while ago and did not have backup on the photos you can not restore them

Photo's that are deleted are held in your recycle bin for 30 days unless you completely empty your recycle bin.

I'm sorry to see that some of your photos have been accidentally deleted from your Tab S6, @Sjp67. We have a helpful online guide that provides tips and assistance on how to retrieve your precious memories, which you can access by clicking here

Hi! Welcome to the Samsung Members community.

If this was done under 30 days ago, check your Bin in Gallery—here you can recover the images. However, if done beyond that time, you cannot. Did you upload them to a third party (Google/OneDrive, etc.)?

Refer to this guide from samsung

@Sjp67  Hopefully you are able to retrieve from the Recycle Bin.   However for longer term assurance it is advisable to have Back up options.  Samsung cloud does not now back up photos/video but you have the option of synchronising with One Drive https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/apps-services/how-to-synchronise-onedrive-with-your-galaxy-device...   or using other services such as Google , Dropbox.

Some comparisons here https://www.techradar.com/best/best-cloud-document-storage

I also back up to local storage.

First, check the "Recently Deleted" or "Trash" folder. Samsung Gallery app keeps deleted photos for 30 days.
If you can't find them there, check Google Photos (if enabled).
Open the Google Photos app.
Tap Library > Trash.
Deleted items stay here for 60 days.
If available, select and restore the photos.
If the photos were on internal storage and not backed up, a recovery tool may help, but success is not guaranteed (especially if new data has been saved).
Hope this will be your help.
