Samsung could bring One UI 6.1 update with Galaxy AI features to the Galaxy Tab S9 series as early as March. Fingers crossed.

Check out the Galaxy Tab S9 series One UI 6.1 update tracker to know the progress.

Before upgrading to OneUI 6.1, holding the navigation bar while in an app was used to hide or show the app icons on the bar. Now the gesture is used for circle to search.

How do you show or hide app icons in the nav bar now?

I dont know where else should I put this feedback, so ill do it here:

Just updated my Tab S9 to One UI 6.1 (just to get rid of the notification blocking the entire screen). I dont like it. Why:

  • I want to maximize screen space for applications, so Im using gestures for navigation (which was designed as THE way to achieve what I want, no?).
But now there is a long thin horizontal button on the bottom of the screen, which doesn't even overlay over the active application, but just takes up the space on the bottom of the screen. E.g. now there is a white line on the bottom when I'm using Zoom.
  • New gestures are uncomfortable to use:
    • A short drag from the bottom of the screen returns you to the home screen. Drag + hold opens the list of active applications. I use the latter MUCH more frequently (the only reason I would need to open the home screen is to open some application that is not already running), but with the current interface, it is the "longer-to-access" thing. Btw, before the update both things were equally easy to access.
    • What I previously used as a gesture for "back" is now "return to home screen". It is something one can get used to, but I can't express how annoying it feels at the moment to be returning to the home screen (instead of "back") every time I try to use my tablet (because of old habits).
    • In essence, the issue is the lack of possibilities to customize the interface. Given that we are talking literally about USER Interface, lacking the customization is utterly unprofessional, sorry.

In summary: One UI 6.1 is both visually and functionally worse than the previous version (at least for the tablets). Please, revert or fix.

Also hovering with S Pen for translation is not using Google translate anymore. Its using Samsung AI translator which is not translating anything properly. Very big problem. I wish i could downgrade the firmware.
