So on my Galaxy Tab A9+ I found out you can click about 4 - 5 times to turn the tablet off, is there a wsy to turn this off, its annoying for my screen to turn off every 1 second when i'm playing a clicker game.

@TaylorJayson: I'm not too sure what you're referring to. If your screen is turning off after tapping it multiple times, then please try heading to Settings > Advanced features > Motions and gestures > Double tap to turn off screen > Toggle this option off.

If the above isn't applicable, are you 'clicking' the Side button? If so then this is designed to place the device in an idle state with a single press, and this option cannot be disabled.

Yeah there's no such feature. Like the above person said, there is double tap to wake/ sleep, which should only work when on your home screen.

The behavior you're experiencing might be due to a gesture or accidental activation of a feature like Interaction Control or Power Button Actions. Here’s how to troubleshoot and adjust settings:

  1. Check Screen Timeout Settings:

    • Go to Settings > Display > Screen Timeout.
    • Set it to a longer duration, such as 5 or 10 minutes, to prevent the screen from turning off too quickly.
  2. Disable Double-Tap or Touch Sensitivity Features:

    • Navigate to Settings > Advanced Features > Motions and Gestures.
    • Look for options like "Double Tap to Turn Off Screen" and disable them.
  3. Test Power Button Behavior:

    • Go to Settings > Advanced Features > Side Key (or similar).
    • Check if "Double Press" or "Press and Hold" is set to an action, and adjust accordingly.
  4. Interaction Control (if Enabled):

    • If Interaction Control or a similar feature is active, it might interpret rapid touches as a command. You can disable this under Settings > Accessibility.
  5. Game Booster Settings:

    • If you're using Game Booster while playing, ensure there are no battery optimization or screen-off behaviors set for your clicker game. Check Settings > Device Care > Battery > App Power Management.
