Chrome and Google app broken in landscape mode

Gives either a white screen or a black screen quite often. Switching to portrait mode immediately shows the website. 

Updated the tablet and all apps and problem persists. Other apps are working fine in landscape.

Anyone else experiencing this?

YES..... just started the other day on an inconsistent basis now it is every time that I do a search with Google or Chrome. Portrait mode loads fine but when I do a search in landscape it automatically goes to a black screen that is not closable and the bottom keys are grayed out and not usable

A clear of all data in the chrome app, although slightly drastic, seems to have resolved it for me.
