Are you referring to a Firmware Update for your Galaxy Tab @UtterTosh ?
Was the Tab supplied by a Network or via Samsung directly ?
I ask because firmware updates on branded devices i.e supplied by a Network can be delayed sometimes due to the Network holding back the firmware for their own testing to ensure it does not clash with their network and features.
What firmware is it currently on which should be available in the 'About' section or similar ?
To note > As Samsung do not comment on timetables / timeframes for firmware releases it's a case of keep checking the devices software update section.
