Hi, recently bought an A9+ tablet and after updating to one ui 6.1 adaptive refresh rate is unusable with lag, I have to turn fast charging toggle off then on for it to charge at the normal rate and dex just has the icons on the bottom off the screen.
Anyone else having these issues?

ive got an a13 and its on one ui 6.1 and it has been a bit laggy too, but maybe samsung will drop some more small updates to fix them problems (but it is a midrange tablet)

Yeah I get that it's a midrange tablet and lags will be here and there but standard hz is fine and apadtive was before the update, it's just made adaptive unusable now with constant stutters in the ui the apps are fine to use

Maybe down to its model, being a mid range tablet strained by running a new OS with even more features, processes that mid or older models with low ram.

I don't know the exact problem or model well, but the a series is just normally good middle of the road devices. What is the year it was made, how much ram does it have and what processor? Have zou tested the benchmark scores for the model? Have you tested the tablet on samsungs device health apps? (It used to be in the members app last time I checked) not going to get everything you want on thats working

On the pessimistic side. There is another reason for updates. It makes you get a taste for features or what once worked and eventually in 3/4 years if that, it's not going to be able to perform with the target model anymore. That's when you are just getting security updates and then nothing. It makes you want or have to go out and get the best and newest model possible or hope everything works if you get a model not made for that updated OS / mid or budget freindly. It will always slow or stress devices it's not aimed at.

Every company does it so you have to get the best or near best product you can afford every time you upgrade etc. Apples been doing it for years

First up I'd look at the benchmark scores for your model, your search engine can find that. That will give you an idea how much slower different models are and where yours fits. Also use device care to see how much ram your using. Limited background apps and free both free space & ram.

Check the members app so you can test everything on your tablet to make sure its all correct and where it should be.

Last time I used that feature it was in the furthest section on the right of the members app.

If anything shows up in the tests, there is your answer. It not then get the geekbench app and run some tests. That will actually give you that devices scores to compare with what you should have.

Ans search online if you havent already to see if anyone else has had that problem, it could be a patch samsung are set to fix in the next minor update and if they are aware of it.

You should know where abouts you're at then hopefully. If it's a hardware issue and you have just brought it, do you have a warrenty or way to return it? It MAY even be an error with the actual update and that only way to sort that is a factory reset And start again. But that's the last thing to do. Other than return it of course.

Appreciate your advice, A9+ is the newest midrange and only tab this year with the A9...so to mess up a tablet within less than a year makes no sense....and for the charging issue, to just turn fast charge off and on to increase charge time by an hour must be a software issue...the dex thing was my fault, and found a way to set it to the classic way.....but for one update the new tab this year to have massive lag must be a software issue...

When setting it to 60hz no issues at all, I expect lag, just not to the point you can't swipe between app screens which only happens on adaptive

Definitely a software issue. I bought the 8gb A9 plus 2 days ago. Got it with One UI 6.0 out the box and had absolutely no issues, not until I updated to 6.1. Now I have exactly the same lag issues on the home screen or when browsing the app drawer, all apps are working fine. When I switch the display refresh rate to standard(60hz) the lagging dissappears but then again, I did not buy a 90hz screen only to limit it.  Funny thing is I found a way to fix the lag but it is kind of ridiculous. When Spotify is playing in the background all lagging dissappears. It is almost as if the tablet enjoys the music and refuses to elaborate without it 😆😆. The moment I stop the music, it is all laggy again. Unfortunately it is by no means a suitable workaround, so I guess we can only hope that Samsung acknowledge and fix the issue..

Samsung seems to be ignoring this. No reply from support.

Meanwhile I have reported the issue with video proof on samsung members.

I suggest others to do the same.

For real , its so annoying, and mine isn't even a month old ,the smaller A9 is faster than A9+, also went to the service center they just did factory reset twice and said there's nothing wrong with it.

I'm having a similar issue. Apps work fine but the home screen lags a lot. I just bought my A9+ a few days ago.
