Developers want to receive suggestions and are waiting for them. There is always a chance the ideas will be implemented. For example, many of the suggestions posted by users on S21 Beta forum (which started before S20/Note 20 Betas) this year, have already been implemented and the suggested functions are already available on these devices. The changes were provided in the official version of the software (Android 12). Similar situations happened in the previous years - many of the user suggestions were implemented.
The sugestions which require more time, resources and effort to be implemented are not the priority of Beta, but still suggesting them is not pointless. Beta Program is the ideal moment to collect opinions and ideas of users who would like to view software improvements on their devices. If the idea is accepted by the developers, they start working on implementation of it as quickly as possible.
So it shortens the time when the suggestion will be implemented.
In short, suggesting ideas during Beta Program makes huge sense. There is always the possibility that some of the ideas will appear on devices during the Beta (or at it's end).
Many of the suggestions will be considered by our team of developers in general thanks to the many users of Beta who are interested in having a certain function/change on their devices.
Users suggestions significantly speed up the process of adding new features. So, we do encourage users to share their ideas - there is always a chance the suggestion will be implemented 😉.

Yes Beta releases are about finding current bugs and glitches, but they also allow for dev testing of new ideas and initial building of code blocks into the firmware release for future functionality.

I'll pass your suggestion on to the developers 😉.

That is not to say you cannot ask for enhancements but they will not appear in the next or any subsequent beta you may test.
They may appear in a future release in several months if they do not involve too much development. Something like this though I would expect to be added to GoodLock rather than the firmware to be honest.
Just to give a little more info. Just try to imagine how much development is required to add a feature like this. Hundreds of things have to be taken into account and then you have to regression test to make sure that any changes have not messed up anything else. Before all this you have to check the architecture, cost development time and resources, then allocate, which just cannot happen during beta testing.
I really wish the moderators would make this clear when they post replies like 'I will pass it onto the developers' as if they very well may add it to the next beta lol. It will just not happen.
Really sorry guys, I'm not bursting bubbles, just wanted to paint this out so people do not get their hopes up.
