Camera Scene Optimizer - auto live focus for portrait & macro shots

I hate to mention Huawei:face-with-rolling-eyes: here but the camera is what they do well...

They auto apply blur and beauty effects if it  detects a face or close up macro shot.

It would be amazing if we could have this also.

The Samsung scene optimizer works well at detecting a person or macro shot but it does not seem to do a lot to the photo..

So my question is can we have the blur effect from live focus applied with portait/Macro shots, with the ability to change and remove the effect afterwards (Like the current live focus mode but without having to switch modes)

Hello @BenGinders

Don't be afraid to mention other brands when suggesting and idea!

We understand that you might have different experiences and would like to keep your favourite features from other brands on your Samsung devices too!

While we might not deliver the feature in the same way, it might be a good inspiration for a an even better solution that would make your devices even better for you :smiling-face:

And it is a great idea! I agree that Scene optimizer could do so much more. Not only detect, but also react.

So I will be sure to let the development team know about this and maybe they can surprise us with an even better solution! :thinking-face::hand-with-index-and-middle-fingers-crossed:

Perfect @TomaszT  thank you, looking forward to what they come back with. The S10+ camera has so much potential on this device as can be seen with all the new modes being added since launch like live focus video, AR doodle etc.. but their is always room for improvement.. and being able to do more things on one mode would be brilliant, then just tapping the Scene optimized Icon can be pressed if the standard photo mode is required (as it does now)
