I think having the ability for a parent or even an "Electronics addict" to be able to turn off certain Apps when battery voltage gets down to a certain level to enable parents to still be able to call their kids or more importantly make emergency calls.
For example, YouTube gets disabled at 50% battery level so when my child is at a friends camping sleepover they still have battery to call me for getting picked up.
Or so my sons music app is turned so he will actually put it on charge for the rest of the night and not wake up with a flat battery.
