Stacked Notifications - why?

The new iOS-style stacked notifications in OneUI 7 are absolutely awful and far less efficient than what we had before in OneUI 6.1. Previously, I could see multiple notifications from an app grouped together in one compact card. There was no need to expand the card unless I wanted to take action on one of the notifications. Now, I can only see the most recent notification for any given app and I have to expand the stack every time just to see the rest.

This feels like a huge, clunky step backwards so please Samsung at least give us a setting to let us switch back to Android-style listed notifications instead of these stacked ones. 

I was enjoying my S24 Ultra up until this change, but I must admit, I'm seriously thinking of heading back to Pixel now.

Please bring back the grouping of notifications. Please forward to the dev team to add a toggle atleast. This is very annoying experience.

Also, why is the 4 x 5 grid disabled in the new update. I was using 4 x 5 earlier & it automatically switched to 4 x 6.

I have been trying and trying to find out how to change this. I hate this feature. Please bring back and option to change this back the way it was!

Same here, terrible notifications experience since updating to oneUI 7. Its a step backwards from the android style stacked notification and makes it very iphone like which I hate.

I got a forced update a few days ago and this is awful, I've been trying to find a way to get the old notifications back but now I see it's not possible. Please add an option for it.

True very awful way of showing the notification,one UI 6 notification view was far far better. Hardly you miss anu notification on one UI 6  compared to what we have now.

I'm responding to second this. I have missed multiple texts from friends and family because a marketing or political campaign text message eclipsed it in the notifications, and I thought it was the only message I had!

I have ADHD and I already have a really hard time staying on top of communication. This is making it worse, and I'm looking into switching to iPhone.

I have woken up to ungrouped notifications... like INDIVIDUAL notification cards for each notifications from the same APP?! How are we going backwards with this!

We still want them grouped by APP but how it used to be - showing more than 1 notifications in that card 🤦 ♀️🤦 ♀️ I also can't see an option anywhere to toggle the option on or off so lots of people will be very upset 😅

is it just sorted by time now instead of by app?
