Stacked Notifications - why?

The new iOS-style stacked notifications in OneUI 7 are absolutely awful and far less efficient than what we had before in OneUI 6.1. Previously, I could see multiple notifications from an app grouped together in one compact card. There was no need to expand the card unless I wanted to take action on one of the notifications. Now, I can only see the most recent notification for any given app and I have to expand the stack every time just to see the rest.

This feels like a huge, clunky step backwards so please Samsung at least give us a setting to let us switch back to Android-style listed notifications instead of these stacked ones.

I was enjoying my S24 Ultra up until this change, but I must admit, I'm seriously thinking of heading back to Pixel now.

Unfortunately this is a Google thing, you could try toggling this as seen in my screenshot and let me know if this helped.

Thanks, but the setting you are suggesting has nothing to do with stacked notifications or otherwise. It simply allows you to access system notifications settings within the settings of each app you choose.

My issue relates to notifications in the pull down notification shade. Since Android 12, multiple notifications have been listed together for a single app in one card, just like on Google Pixels, but in OneUI 7, Samsung have replaced this with the iOS way of grouping notifications in stacks which shows less information unless you tap each notification and is a patently inferior way of doing things. There is no setting to switch this back. Samsung have simply made notifications worse in One UI 7 and unAndroid-like.

Many thanks. Just to clarify what I am talking about, here's a comparison between OneUI 7's notifications and the functionality we had previously in OneUI 6.1 and earlier:

As you can see there's less information in OneUI 7's notifications. Please give us a toggle to go back to what we had before. AISelect_20250328_121755_Samsung capture_1000016313_1743164275.jpgAISelect_20250328_121710_Samsung capture_1000016312_1743164230.jpg

I updated today from One UI 6 to 7 on my S24 Ultra and it's a step backwards. Please add the functionality to disable the Notification Stacking.

Very much agreed, this is awful

Agreed too, this is miserable.

Even worse, the number and stack are barely differentiated from a single notification.

Please do forward it to the development team. I find this very annoying as well.
