Scan & camera settings

Is it me or what?

Anyone ever notice the design oversite which I didn't notice either. The scan option should be available in any photo settings even if the format is not feasibe once the user select scan the settings should automatically adjust to scan and when done either resume previous settings,stay on the lower settings or ask. If not possible please elaborate?
