Notes is a surprisingly versatile app for note taking, but there are a few updates that could really help:
1) More versatile shape recognition - when holding down after drawing a shape it attempts to correct the shape, but it only really is able to do basic shapes. I would like to be able to do more, e.g. being easily able to draw a set of axis quickly by drawing an L shape
2) more pen varieties - additions like dotted and dashed lines would be really nice to see and would really elevate how notes look.
3) smoothing lines - I understand that you don't want aggressive smoothing while writing to avoid damaging legibility, but sometimes I want to draw a smooth but curved line, and there isn't really a way to do that, so I often end up redrawing crooked or shaky lines multiple times.
4) add speech to text onto inbuilt voice memo - along with seeing what I was writing at the time of the voice recording, it would also be good if I could search words to easily find what part of the recording is relevant, and what I was writing at the time.
5) use phone to take picture for tablet note - it would be very useful to be able to click a button and my phone camera opens to take a picture that then is immediately sent to my note I'm writing on my tablet, as holding up a tablet is annoying, distracting for others, and the cameras are not as good.
A few of these are probably not possible, but if they could be considered I think it would truly elevate notes above other note taking apps. If anyone else has any other suggestions, comment them.
