Hi @Robert62. It's normal that Google Wallet doesn't work on a beta release as it's deemed a non-compliant operating system and hence "insecure", as far as Google Pay is concerned. You may have missed seeing it in the beta release notes that it wouldn't work.

Your options would be to roll back and uninstall the beta, although personality I've moved over on to Samsung Pay/ Wallet and it works perfectly and just as well as the Google equivalent.

What if I forcibly enable Google pay from app store and enable it?

Hi @takuzha. I'm not sure how you'd do that. If I open Google Wallet, it says it doesn't meet the security requirements.

However, I wouldn't suggest you try to work around this by forcing Google Pay to work in the beta release. You may be contravening the agreement you have with your bank if you run contactless payment software in an unsupported configuration or on a rooted platform.

As I say, the Samsung Pay/Wallet is an effortless alternative that works and is supported by a wide number of UK banks.
I don't think I'll go back to Google Pay but please feel free to give it a try and form your own opinion on if it meets your needs in the way Google Pay does.

I second that, I've switched to Samsung Pay and Curve (to use a NatWest card) a few years ago because of a beta, and never looked back.
