Thanks for sharing your feedback! I will forward your suggestion to the relevant team who will analyze this further

I presume the virtual aperture is an S25 series feature, as I've not seen that on my S24 Ultra.

If the normal camera burst mode could be 24mp that would be ace. Or add the burst mode function to the Expert RAW app. I understand the 50mp or larger shots are understandably too slow to read out for this but a 24mp mode even if slightly slower than standard would be ace. 8K video is close to 33mp and that's at 30fps so there is a chance this is possible. There isn't as much flexibility for post cropping ect with 12mp.

The virtual aperture is under the lab feature in expert raw app

It must be exclusive to the S25 series. It's not in the lab options on my S24 Ultra. Just the astro, virtual ND filter and multiple exposures.

Unsure if these will get noticed too much as core development seems to be very AI lead but there are a few normal usability changes that really could improve the user experience for those wanting to get the most out of their Samsung phones when using the Expert Raw app to help support the great hardware you make. UI basics and settings are just as important as pro AI features.

1. Make an option for the manual focus peaking guides to remain active when not touching the manual focus slider like on many physical cameras. For fast-moving subjects you focus with your body more easily. The user then doesn't have to awkwardly use 2 fingers to trigger the shutter at the same time.

2. Enable the burst mode swipe feature in this app as well which works regardless of the resolution you currently have set. Giving a warning that I can't use this feature when I've been taking pictures at 200mp like on the normal camera app isn't practical as by the time I've changed to 12mp, I've missed the moment. Just take the burst at 12mp HEIC if needed or if possible say a 24mp mode for example. The information can be in the settings panel as this extra step is unnecessary.

3. Enable a for example 2x zoom focus check button in the manual focus slider panel the same as professional cameras use.

4. Enable a manual HDR exposure bracket mode selecting the lightest and darkest exposure desired, we have auto already in the standard camera app.

5. Enable a manual focus stacking capture mode for when on a tripod. Selecting the start and end focus points. This is helpful for people who post-process landscape and macro photography with close foreground subjects as well as far.

Extras for the standard camera app.
1. Add virtual shutter angle selection in the pro video mode on the camera app. We can choose from sharp 45, standard cinema motion blur at 180 or extreme blur at 360 for example. While the app changes the shutter and iso accordingly as needed for these creative choices.

2. Open gate full senor aspect ratio recording is really helpful for producing multiplatform social media content.

3. Focus pull feature in pro video.

4. Better quality motion images at say 24mp would be nice perhaps for those not worried about the extra storage use and should be possible on cameras that shoot 8k. This will be a lot of your ExpertRaw user base.

Not sure if this is allowed, please tell me if not as the comment is just designed to be helpful for users learn how they can accomplish a photography task using their Samsung phone as this isn't always possible with Samsung apps. I've briefly reviewed features in third-party photography/video apps. If this isn't allowed please tell me (Not quite sure how I could offer a solution for some of these issues then though)

For those interested some of these features are currently available in 3rd party apps with caveats if this helps. Native support would be ideal, but for now, these are your options for the above issues from the Play Store.

1. Free - Open Camera. Focus Peaking. Limited to 12mp RAW and laggy interface.

2. Free - Open Camera, Faster capture as 12mp webp images or Unlimited repeat mode on 12mp RAW images. RAW is slightly slower than Samsung's Burst Swipe mode.

3. Free - Open Camera. Options for zoom level on manual focus.

4. Free - Open Camera. Can choose the bracketing stop size but this matches both the same above and below standard exposure it is not custom to the scene you are currently working with. Limited to 12mp RAW.

5. Free - Open Camera. You can select a start and end focus distance manually in the app. However the app has the wrong settings for the minimum focus distance for the 0.6x Ultra wide so it doesn't focus as close as it can in the normal mode making it impractical for macro photography. Limited to 12mp RAW.

Extras.
1. Free - BlackMagic Camera. Can manually select shutter angle. Can only record HEVC in 8k in Rec 709 or HLG10 for 10 bit, No log profile like you find on the Samsung pro video mode.

2. £24.99 Motion Cam Pro: RAW Video. Can shoot log, open gate and in RAW but at 4K only. Extremely large file sizes so external storage is required.
Alternatively £15.99 McPro24fps. Can shoot 8k 16:9 or alternatively 4k Open gate log in HEVC but runs poorly compared to Motion cam pro. A rear mounted fan cooler is advised for both apps but especially McPro24fps.

3. Free - Blackmagic Camera, this is also available in Motion Cam and McPro24fps as well.

4. No option. Only Samsung's apps can access the camera pipeline for images larger than the 12mp bin image in the other apps.
