I suffer from dust allergies and find the best way to dust my surfaces is to use a very slightly damp microfibre cloth, regular rinsed in a bucket of warm water. This method captures the dust instead of just moving it around, which saves my sneezes and lasts longer too. This can be followed by a buff with some furniture polish for solid wood surfaces that need a bit more tlc.
