Sonic the hedgehog 2 is not only my favourite Sonic game, but my favourite game, full stop.
I've played through it 100's of times, ever since I got it one christmas for my Sega Megadrive. Although Sonic 1 was my first game I ever played, Sonic 2 just perfected classic sonic design with great levels, music and graphics.
I can still play it to this day and find new things about it that I never knew before, and I typically play through it (along with several other Sonic games) once a year. It's my comfort game and something I can just pick up and play at any time.
