For favourite character we have Metal Sonic originally from Sonic CD. A well adverted Sonic rival but one that will always come back, I love his design and his ability especially within Sonic Heroes and the comics when he can transform into Neo Metal Sonic and beyond and his ability to copy other characters to a certain degree. He is a character I feel deserves more of a limelight in future titles.
For favourite Sonic game it has be Unleashed. Amazing level designs with good lengths and with tons of playability, people may not enjoy the night time stages but I honestly enjoy them a lot even at the end of the game where you have to use everything you got in one long stage.
The soundtrack is top tier and has some of my favourite Sonic songs to this day and I have very fond memories with the title, going back to it whenever possible.
