What does 'Float this board for user' do?

Does anyone know what 'Float this board for user' do?

Hi  @CaterpillarT ,

I tried it out, but it doesn't appear to do anything. (Or maybe by pressing the button I've just opened a hidden doorway into another world somewhere. 😲😄)

Following the logic of 'floating' topics, in theory 'Float this board for Current User' should pin a board to the top of the Community homepage just for that person who selects it. But the way our specific Community user interface is set up probably makes it a redundant feature on here.

@Matthew C might know a bit more than I do or be able to find out from those who do.

@AntS @CaterpillarT   Floating a Topic moves it to the top but Floating Board does not seem to have desired effect.  However I thought the Topic title moved slightly upwards.

@AntS, do let us know if you have found another way to Narnia. None of the wardrobes have ever worked for me.
