Hello. I bought a new monitor and ran into a problem. The monitor does not turn off when the computer is turned off. Type: LC34G55TWWIXCI Software version: M-T5534GCPA-1003.0

I have another such monitor but with firmware version 1002.4 and there is no such problem. Please help with updating the firmware to the old version or the new one.

Hi !

I have replied to your other thread with the title ''Samsung Odyssey G5 WQHD LC34G55TWWRXEN''

There you will find attached the newest FW for the specified model, you can try installing it and see if it can make a difference.

Wishing you a continued pleasant day!

I have the same problem that has nothing to do with firmware brother. You need to buy do adapter. Is on Amazon 15€ I think. The main reason is that HDMI kabl is at his maximum because you can get more then 100 Hz to hdmi kabl.

Anyone able to confirm if this monitor still flickers with gsync turned on with display cable if fps drops on latest firmware? Tempted to buy but that problem looks annoying.

All Youtube videos trouble shooting this issue say to turn off G Sync but they are old.

Yes, that's right. If I understand this correctly: Most VA monitors with freesync technology have flicker when using it. The brightness of a pixel on VA monitors depends on the voltage per pixel. When the frame rate drops below the acceptable frame rate, the freesync technology duplicates the frame. This means that 50 frames become 100 (50x2) or maybe 150 (50x3). Because of this sudden jump in voltage, the brightness also increases. When fps fluctuates from 61 to 58 in fact because of the duplication of frames it can rise from 61 to 116 (58x2). That's where the flickering comes from. IPC monitors have no relationship between frame rate and brightness.
