Hi all. Just making a quick post about something I've been seeing on the forums recently.

The language and borderline abuse towards members over opinions on the new UI 7 update is absolutely disgraceful. If you have a feature you dislike and are so passionate about, leave feedback via Samsung Members—support—feedback. But borderline abuse towards people responding to your aggressive complaints is inexcusable. In the least harse way- its a phone, its an update with a few changes. If you are privileged enouth for this to be such a huge issue- be thankful. Your actions can affect others.

Nobody here, not member stars, not me, not other members- besides admins who give guidance and ensure the forums are run accordingly, works for Samsung. I'm unsure what the excuse is, but the abuse I've seen being thrown towards other members, me and Samsung Member Stars is gross. They volunteer to help others! Hurling abuse at such people, or anyone for that matter, is not okay.

You're allowed an opinion and freedom of expression! But you are part of a community, you should behave accordingly. There is absolutely no excuse for it, regardless of whether someone works for Samsung or not! Even if people were employed, speaking the way I've seen is outrageous, and I'm shocked some of these people are so unaware of reality and consequences.

If you havent. Read the Samsung Members Community User Guide.

I do agree with this. It's why I don't bother replying to negative forums. If they don't like it, then don't update it. No member shouldn't face disrespect, and it's not right. There may be some changes that we won't like, but it's something to get used to.

Ehh, it happens. People like to vent.

I want everyone to be nice, but that's the nature of an open Community - it's an emotional place. :smiling-face:

That's true! I'm more concerned about the direct insults. But I am also aware of the fact that the internet opens up such opportunities.

Hi, guys. I wondered if you could help me with that new update? I find it absolutely terrible. I've used Samsung for the last 25 years, and it's never been that bad. I understand i can't go back to the previous ui, but is it possible at least to make it look like it, at least until i get a new phone, which won't be Samsung for sure.

Hi! @ZhV- Note that many of the changes are in Android 15- Google (all besides iOS), so I would also look online for tutorials.

In addition to this, what specifically do you find difficult/would you like to adjust?

GoodLock is your best bet - I would, however say embrace it. Major updates come once/twice a year and won't stop - it's the same for all phone manufacturers (that I can think of). Things change, update, move, get removed based on feedback from people like yourself, research and industry surveys.

Keep providing feedback, as the team are reading! You can send feedback via the Members app too.

Hi, @johnz237. Oh, ok, i didn't know that. The first thing I noticed was how it drained my battery. It went from 58% to 40% in about 10 minutes, and now it keeps going down fast. I really dislike that swipe from the top left/top right division for messages and settings. It would be great if i could change that. The app screen search bar on the bottom is annoying. If i could move it up or completely remove it, it would be nice. And in general, that new iPhone look is just bad. I'm still exploring the new update, but so far, I'm quite unhappy.

Let's go through it!

1) has it been 14 days? The battery will be calibrating. It can also help clearing cache partition

2) ive posted about the swipe down. This can be changed!!
Swipe down from the right side- click the pen icon- panel settings (top left) and then change to "together"

https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/samsung-lounge/just-a-quick-tip-quick-panel-back-to-before-ui7-s...

3) you cant move the search bar in app draw

4) go to galaxy themes! Theres a few which look similar to ui6/ however you want it. Goodlock also helps
