Figured we should have a thread like this.

Hi all! I'm AntS. :smiling-face-with-sunglasses:

I've worked for Samsung since 2014: starting on t'phone in the frontline Mobile/Tablets Tech Support team, moving on to the Online Shop Support team, then to the Social Media team, where I spent most of my time...  and which is how I ended up here.

My hobbies include reading (I might be a bit of a bibliophile), writing, drawing/design, the odd bit of rambling with my Dad, and despairing at the state of modern football (apart from at Lionel Messi - whom I might have a little mancrush on...)

I'm a Fantasy, sci-fi, comic book, and Saturday-morning cartoon geek. Love stuff like Lord of The Rings, Game of Thrones, Star Wars, Blade Runner, Doctor Who, Star Trek, Supernatural, Babylon 5. Big fan of Transformers - the original '80s Generation 1 stuff rather than Bayformers.

I go by Sami and I am a full on Samsung geek. People love hearing that when they meet me. It's my special interest with my Autism. I started with Note 3 as my first Samsung smartphone and all I've ever had for Samsungs has been Note and Ultra. I use S22 Ultra as primary and Note 20 5G as wifi only. I didnt plan on the S22U, my heart was set on the S23U which I hope to finally get one sometime this year. But other reasons required me to go with S22U instead. I also have a Galaxy Tab S6 Lite. My first Samsung was not a smartphone. it was a slider touch screen phone with a full keyboard, Samsung Rogue. I used my Note 3 on wifi as when my mother let me have it after she upgraded, it was too old to put a SIM card in so I daily drove Motorola until I got a gently used Note 20 5G from a former friend. Unfortunately things went from bad to worse and that friendship had to end as they became abusive and I am still affected by it. It wasn't easy to end it, but I had to. it was unable to be saved. My S22U is a painful reminder of it daily. I love my S22U but not the bad memories attached to it. 23 is my lucky number, 22 not so much. 22 is tied to so much loss including thay friendship ending. I am also am artist, photographer, crafter, mechanic, cook among many things. I have too many talents to list and I am also a numerologist too. My Autism is why I am so talented. Also an influencer and disability rights activist on X.

@NoteUltraFan  , Sad to hear about what happened with your former friend, Sami, but great to hear about the other stuff.

thanks. My preferred name is Sami. I won't disclose that friends name. Samsung is my favorite thing in the entire world. I also have a 40" FHD Samsung SmartTV in my bedroom and I am a hard core gamer. all our smart TVs in the house are Samsung. I have my PS5 and PS3 on my mums 55" Samsung and am addicted  to Dreamlight Valley. my favorite game systems are the PS5 and Switch. I take my switch everywhere, even to my volunteer jobs so I.can play Dreamlight Valley on the go

Also, as for my photography, S Ultra has such a great camera system that I ended up replacing my DSLR. I rarely use it anymore and find my S22U way easier. I do photography for work and play. I am the main photographer for one of my volunteer jobs and do some for family and friends. I have been a photographer for 17 years and when I started all you had available for decent photos was a DSLR which I learned on

Hi, I vebeen on Samsung chat yonks but never really followed it to be honest. I never felt the connection as I do with other sites. I m adding to the really old gang remembering only being able to go online if I didn't want to make a phone call. You couldn't do both in the olden days. Going to school without Google. Research for homework out of books from the library. Good memories though going to the local library with my dad to choose reading material. I felt soo grown up, age 7 having my own library card and being allowed 3x books out at a time lol My grandchildren look at me as if I m mad when I say about it. 😊

I was in 3rd grade when Google started as a search engine. still was using Netscape Navigator at the time on school computers. At the time I didnt carr much for tech and disliked it greatly. it was my 11th grade computer apps teacher that started my love for tech starting with computers, and then later I got into smartphones and started doing tech support independently on my own for friends and family, free of charge becoming a self taught CE tech. I am eventually gonna be the CE tech at my main volunteer job
