Samsung LoungeSome of us will be familiar with the concept- any views or ideas? Obviously in development and quite a few challenges, however think it definitely an interesting area and we have not had new transport for some time. However remains to be seen if the costs envisaged are understimated and despite the benefits whether demand would be as widespread as some think, could be unease in some quarters initially though others would be excited. However think if tests work out in time it could be a useful addition at least and possibly transformative long term.
For those who may not know basically it is travelling at high speed in a floating pod which races along inside giant low-pressure tubes, either above or below ground. The travel experience has been compared to a plane but more environmentally friendly though others think it may not be the most pleasureable experience.

Samsung LoungeWord that Virgin Hyperloop had its first test with passengers in Las Vegas on Sunday. However the Pod was only able to reach 100 miles a hour and so not demonstrating the mega speeds which are envisaged for the future. Finance is needed for the next project and challenges before commercial system is built. Hopes that Virgin Hyperloop will be certified 2025/2026. https://edition.cnn.com/2020/11/08/tech/virgin-hyperloop-passengers
