I got the message to update my galaxy s23 ultra to the new UI one 7 (if thats what its called). I downloaded it and the phone doesnt work anymore. It just says system UI has crashed and I then can choose a number of things in this special mode where the text is red, green and yellow, like reset to factory settings (and more choices). I have done them all, but the phone still wont start. A couple of times I got to start again and choose language and connect to internet and those steps, but then it crashes again before I get to the end of that.
I have done ALL the steps in the recovery mode (maybe its called something else), but nothing helps. I do not have money to pay for tech help which I assume Samsung would cover in this case, but I do not know how to prove that the upgrade chrashed my phone.

A OTA Update is known to cause corrupt/damage files and even worse case where it fails and damages os alot that makes it unbootable or so on.

This should be covered on warranty since your bootloader is still locked and as long that's locked warranty stays.

Just go to where you bought it explain issue what you did and then they will note it down and have your phone sent for service and when it arrives there they will reflash it for you with a image copy, it might be back on 6.1.1 depending what copy they have at the place.

Don't worry about proving anything. It's not easy to damage OS without actively trying to. If the system update broke your phone, it's Samsung's responsibility, regardless of if your phone is still on warranty or not. As JakeSully suggests, bring it to where you bought it and explain what has happened.

Wrong,

OTA Update can damage the OS like I wrote above you still need to describe what you where doing so technician knows what to do to fix it.

During warranty samsung can do it for free, but if warranty is expired they have rights to charge a fee.

There's a difference between describing something and proving something. Since Supervero is worried about proving that OS update crashed his phone, I just advised not to worry about it and just bring his device to the seller and describe what has happened.

If Samsung released an update which contains bug that bricks certain devices, they can't charge for fixing it. If there was an error during OTA update process, it's still questionable how come a corrupted file was verified and installed.
If the update was sideloaded, it would be at user's own risk. If it was installed by as a regular system update OTA, it is Samsung's responsibility to make it work. There is no other better or safer official way than OTA, is there?

Like i said, they can charge if warranty has expired. That's how it works, if a OS update bricks the device the customer has to prove it was an OS update that did it and not them playing around with bootloader and flashing custom rom.

Samsung is only guilty to provide free repair and solutions while warranty is still valid, after that they do not have to provide free repair/fix and can therefore request a fee for solving the issue. Even if a OTA bricked the device samsung can still and is still legible to charge the customer for it unless devs of OS update can confirm they did a mistake with the update and rolled out a new one and therfore they will offer to help the customer for free.
