Hi,

I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy A56 5G and I’m experiencing a recurring audio issue when using wired headphones connected via the USB-C port.

The problem is this:

  • Whenever there is a short pause or silence in the audio (for example between sentences in an audiobook, or between words in speech), the audio cuts out completely or fades out.
  • The first word or sound after the pause is either missing or very low.
  • Then the audio fades back in gradually.

This happens consistently in multiple apps including BookBeat, Sveriges Radio Play, and Spotify, so it is not related to a specific app.

Important observations:

  • The issue only happens when using headphones via the USB-C port.
  • The problem disappears completely when using the phone’s built-in speakers.
  • The problem happens regardless of which app I use.

This strongly suggests there is an issue with the phone’s USB audio handling, possibly at the driver or system level.

I have checked all sound settings (Dolby Atmos, Adapt Sound, etc.) and the problem persists. The phone is updated to the latest software version.

Is this a known issue? Will there be a fix in an upcoming update?

Här är några lösningar du kan prova som kan förbättra din upplevelse:

- Rensa cachepartitionen: Detta rensar cachade data på systemnivå, vilket ibland kan lösa prestanda- eller hårdvaruproblem utan att radera dina personliga filer.

- Starta i felsäkert läge: Felsäkert läge inaktiverar alla tredjepartsappar. Om problemet försvinner i det här läget kan det tyda på att en bakgrundsapp stör ljudbearbetningen.

- Håll din programvara uppdaterad: Även om du använder den senaste versionen nu, se till att installera eventuella framtida uppdateringar.
