Spotted this on the scrolling header of the app, interesting questions, but get you views in peeps, I reckon its definitely building up to, let's delete USB C port and other stuff.

Nonetheless a good way to say your piece and maybe get heard...

Seems the issue is they will have to provide a wireless charger surely with the non USB C devices ...

For me it is critical for Android Auto wireless does not work without over heating the phone or draining the battery, DeX charges via PD whilst use it and other scenarios.

Wireless charging is overheating the phone and is extremely extremely slow. The phone charges like 2% in 40 minutes. The technology is still underdeveloped and I don't feel like waiting a whole day to charge my phone.

I was just about to mention this on here.

I answered it as apparently one of these was used towards S Pens demise for folds. Seems like the USB C socket seems to be the next preferred victim to test the waters with.

It better not go, wireless transfer of video files vs connecting to an SSD is absolutely dire in comparison if you actually want to work on the device or need space quickly in a travel location.

Also charging via cable is much faster and cooler if you are using a heavy app like Lightroom at the same time. Forcing wireless just wastes more energy.

I found the USB C convenient for travel with Dex and a lightweight screen (Till it broke). Please Samsung stay being the advanced devices you are. Next I fear they will go after their own Goodlock features which was part of the reason I even switched from iPhone.

Either way I submitted, hopefully other Members find the USB C important too and I'm not alone.

I hate it as I'm stuck using it and it's not practical for a quick 30min top up, just overnight.

Smartphone without Bluetooth and USB file transfer is just a brick. Even for Smartswitch, USB data transfer is much reliable and faster than WiFi connection, while using the USB the data transfer is sure to be completed, while even a weak WiFi connection can compromise the whole process and without USB connection you may not actually be able to do it at all. Internet connection is unavailable and unreliable, it can crash mid transfer or what if you are in a field on your holiday and you want to share pictures and music with your friends? Will you wait until you go back to the hotel to do the file sharing? We can just go back to Nokia 1300 and save ourselves a couple of grands without this headache.

I do through hiking at times so I'm often out of signal but I still want to be able to log the moment to a device in these locations. It's a huge step backwards having no socket for OTG USB and efficient charging from a battery bank.

Important to make our feelings known. Certainly in favour of retaining USB charging and USB Data Transfer (though wireless DatacTransfer is convenient at times.

Think there is a push for Wireless charging but the technology will need to advance considerably to be a viable alternative and heat disspation a real issue. (ok for ocassionally) though not everyone will have the same view.

It's best if the entire phone is a hologram, it will charge through us and it won't be able to break. 😋
