Samsung Display's LCD Production Will End Earlier Than Expected

According to Reports Samsung Displays will end its LCD Production in June to focus on  quantum Dot and OLED.  This is due to falling prices in the LCD Market (in comparison to almost any other tech) and competition from cheaper rivals.  Had it not been for the pandemic this shift would have occurred earlier. However Samsung Electronics do have other suppliers.

Think the old LCD is so long in the tooth now.
Should have been done away with much earlier
They have a place, but smartphone hardware these days really should have OLED displays
