Your thoughts please and experiences.

Samsung Watch 5 - Can it handle pool or sea water?
Samsung Book2 - As a media device on the plane vs tablet
Samsung Buds2 Pro - Think only sweat proof?

Water damage advice, I keep reading IF you phone gets wet, a plastic bag filled with rice works?

Personally I keep all my devices away from water. If I have to answer while in the rain, that is the only time my phone or watch will get a splash.

I've used the watch in pool and sea with no issues at all. Can't comment on book 2 but my buds pro are absolutely sweat proof🥵 after using them in +40° runs in Turkey

Thanks will try this time, usually I just lock mobiles, watches, Buds away in a hotel safe and check messages later.

I suppose I ended up preferring no tech for some real rest and relaxation but always need a watch to tell the time

Think I am not risking travelling and using the Book2 Pro laptop on the plane, so resorting to the ZFOLD4, I figure it is not far off my old iPad Mini 5 screen size.

I have a 10,000 Samsung Powerbank.

For me it's another step to showing how with the ZFOLD4, I can 90% of what my laptop can and near 95% work, if it can last and good enough as a mid haul flight media traveller for Disney Plus and Tidal that will be awesome 👌

Reminds me the Buds Pro2 are very close to my old Samsung XM3 headphones and way better sound quality, perfect for noisy plane trips

Hi @Obsydian

As the devices are IP rated as water resistant I do not take mine into water scenarios such as a pool or shower etc,  however using them in the rain does not concern me.

II wouldn't use them in sea water.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

The IP rating 68 rating indicates that the Galaxy Watch 5  can survive under water at a depth of  1.5 metres for 30 minutes before water leaks in.  According to the device's certification   for 5 ATM  water resistance it was tested by being submerged for 10 minutes in fresh water at a depth of 50 metres .   Swimming pools that are treated with chemicals may affect the water resistance  and seawater has a lot of salt which is another factor to take into account.   personally would not risk it but everyone will use their own judgement.

I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.
