Hi, could you tell me a solution to this problem? What is it due to? It happens when I turn on the PC, it forces me to turn off the monitor several times before I can see the screen correctly (the second monitor works fine and I tried with another cable and another video card port)....I don't think I have made particular updates that caused this problem...I attach photos of the problem and monitor informationProblemProblemInfoInfo

Hi @paparazzo!

We are sorry to hear that you are experiencing problems with your monitor.

In this case, we would recommend that you reinstall the drivers for your graphics card and see if the problem remains after this. If it still doesn't work, we recommend that you try connecting the monitor to another PC and see if the problem appears there as well.

If none of this helps, we recommend that you take the monitor in for service so that our technicians can investigate this more closely. To get instructions on how to take it in for service, we recommend that you contact customer support in the country you are in:

NO: https://www.samsung.com/no/support/contact/
DK: https://www.samsung.com/dk/support/contact/

I'm having the same issue and have been having it for months now 😕 Though it is intermittent, it's still very frustrating that it happens at all. This monitor wasn't cheap.

I've tried reinstalling the OS, updating the graphics drivers, changing the ports on both the monitor and the PC, using different types of cables (HDMi to DP, HDMI to HDMI, DP to DP) and it still persists.

I've checked out the self diagnosis screen from the monitor settings but the intensity of the lines in the display changes upon each restart. Sometimes it expands across the screen and tends to follow the UI display in terms of where the lines appear. Sometimes it darkens, sometimes it lightens. The longer I leave on my computer, it slowly goes away. But it reccurs somehow randomly. I don't get it.

Hi @FriendlyFelyne!

If you are still experiencing this problem after trying all of these things, we recommend that you take the monitor in for service so that our technicians can take a closer look. We recommend that you contact Samsung Support in the country you are in for instructions on how to bring it in for service.

Hi,

I'm having exactly same issue with mine. It happens after monitor has been in Stand-by mode for some time. Then it only helps when I turn off and turn back on monitor few times, then the lines slowly disappear. Do I need to send it back to warranty ?

I had to take mine to a Samsung assistance center for an appraisal to see if the warranty repair is valid or not... two weeks have passed and I still haven't received a response, so I can't tell you if your phone will be repaired. product or not, I think I will contact them tomorrow to find out if they will do something to solve the problem

Thanks for the info. I tried same things, switching DP port on graphic card, nothing helps. I will try if it helps if monitor is turned off and not leaving it in stand by. The second monitor works great. I use both of them in HDR mode.

support contacted me and told me that they had no problems with the monitor and that I can therefore go and get it back....in this month that I left the monitor I had to buy another one because I needed it for studying and nothing , both monitors I'm using now haven't given me half a problem unlike the Samsung which gave me problems every day. So now several options come to mind: 1) the technicians left the monitor on permanently instead of keeping it off for several hours and turning it back on several times (the condition in which the problem occurred) 2) too many requests for assistance and they carried out an assessment 2 minutes 3) there is some driver in my PC that conflicts with the Samsung monitor software (only in the Samsung one since Acer and HP did not give me problems) 4) the technicians did not use the included power supply in the box but one that they had (I'll ask as soon as I go to collect the product) and therefore the problem is the power supply

For what I found out, if I turn the monitor OFF instead leaving it in stand-by, then the problem does not occur.

I think option 3 is highly unlikely because when this happens, then it already happens during BIOS boot and is not related to OS.

I think they didn't test the right scenario - the monitor has to be left in stand-by for a long time, possibly over night so let's say at least 8 hours. It might have something to do with power supply, I don't know..

It helps, if you turn it off when not using the computer, that's how I do it. It's annoying but it works..
