What's everyone's thoughts on the iPhone, watched a bit of it and got bored, all looks the same, nothing new, I use apple for work and Samsung as personal.

Just don't see how they get away with it, their customer base is massive and no real design changes, nothing to get excited about.

I was hoping to see new design, new watch, maybe a different shape watch, but no, same old same old.

How long can it continue, will people soon be bored parting with their hard earned money for basically re arranging the cameras.

I think apple believe the 'if it aint broke dont fix it approach'.

From most apple users that is what they seem to want. The same experience and easy use.

There is very little change from generation to generation. If we think sometimes the changes at samsung are 'incremental' then apple make very little change to their hardware. I don't see why customers would wish to upgrade from a 15pro to a 16pro.

Anyway apple certainly have their audience.

I mean....as much as the majority of us are Samsung fans on this forum... The recent Ultra phones haven't exactly been revolutionary either...nor will the 25 I expect

The thing that always makes me laugh...is the way apple and their fans genuinely talk like some of their features are amazing when sooooo many phones had the features years ago...it's comedy at this point. What's that? A dedicated camera button?! This is brand new! 😄

Entirely agree. Apparently some of the features are 'revolutionary' and 'a first for cellphone technology', and yet samsung and other Android vendors have been doing it for years.

You are right about the S24u and possible S25u. I guess that is why I am still using my S23u and didn't bother. The flat 'reflection free' panel was nearly enough to convince me but I thought otherwise.

So I think I will be folding next. I haven't had a fold before so for me that would be revolutionary for my own experiences 👍

Clever marketing is all it really is.
They are the masters of marketing so called new features with fancy phrases and names.
The actual hardware is not bad although the design is getting stale now.
It's the software that they are really refusing to improve.
Add a few other features but the core of it has been the same for years.
Thier swipe gestures need an overhaul. Keyboard hasn't been improved on since the iPhone 6 i think it was.
Lots of other stuff as well
iOS 18 will bring some reorganising. I have the 18 Beta on my work 15 Pro Max. Just got a nearly 7 Gb update last night so will see what actually changes.

But both my Samsung phones, Z Fold 5 and S24 Ultra, are much nicer phones to use.
The Z Fold 6 I have on loan is a really nice refinement.

I bought a few iphones in the past but do not use one now (still have a relatively old ipad about ), yes a lot of their success is due to marketing  and loyalty factors ( a number still think they are cool) and some customers reluctant to try something new.   However in my view their approach has not been very innovative in recent years and they rely on a formulae.

I keep in touch with developments just as a matter of interest  and for comparison purposes (do not spend the time on their presentations nowadays though).

I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.

Hi @Mbfrenchbulldogs

I did use iPhone's from the iPhone⁴ to the iPhone⁶ Plus, and lost faith in the brand and software being honest.

Steve Jobs brought the company on leaps and bounds.

Tim Cook and his present team haven't.

Don't get me wrong the hardware is impressive however the iOS software isn't.

For me It's full of jank and judder and super sandboxed by Apple to what it can achieve.

iOS could be so much more in my opinion which I know as I did used to let's say open up the iOS to more 🤔

iPhone's are good as practically any generation of iPhone can be picked up ,and it'll just work and be super familiar to those who have used iPhone's as they are all the same software wise.

Their ecosystem is first rate.

However for me lack of innovation in many ways made me look elsewhere hence why I've used Samsung phones for a good few years now.

Also iPhone's appear to have some street cred to own one!

I have Samsung laptop at home and s24ultra and fold 6, I also have the iPhone 15, the watch 9, mac m3 max pro or what ever it's called.

I do find the camera better in the iPhone even tho Samsung s24 ultra is meant to be better. The watch series 9 seems the same as the first one, I use it more as a gimmick as family have them, we use the walkie talkie on them, I do prefer the Samsung ones but has anything changed on them

I use my fold the most, love it, the s22 ultra seems no different to s24 ultra. It seems there all the same way.
