Gmail users are being advised to change passwords  due to the ramping up of phising campaigns and  credential theft methods. A number of users do not regularly update passwords  and a standalone Password Manager is a more secure method than a Browser based one,  An authenticator App is  the preferrable method fot Two Factor Authentication.  passkeys such such as a Biometric  are more resistant to phising.

You can follow this link and sign in to your Google account then click check passwords. It will check all your passwords stored in Google Chrome and Google apps.

Just found out that Google have released a stand alone password manager that also checks the security of your passwords. Also if you've used chrome browser and have a lot of passwords in its password manager you can now ditch it and still have all your passwords stored.
