Can no longer make "custom stickers"

I have an S22 Ultra and got the new One UI 6.1 a few days ago. I have appreciated that upgrade and the AI ​​features that came with it. But I recently discovered something in the gallery that bothers me a lot. When you edit a picture, you can no longer make your own stickers. Or, you cannot choose which part of the image you want to make into a sticker. The AI ​​itself automatically chooses which part of the image it thinks will be good, and that's it. Why do I no longer have the option to choose which part of the image I want to cut out? The AI ​​often does a terrible job of choosing what to cut out. Am I being stupid and missing some setting, or is Samsung thinking I can't handle the responsibility of cropping my own photos?

Varför har jag inte längre själv möjligheten att välja vilken del av bilden jag vill klippa ut? AI:n gör ofta ett pissdåligt jobb i att välja vad den ska klippa ut. Är det jag som är dum och missar någon inställning, eller är det Samsung som tror att jag inte klarar av ansvaret att klippa mina egna bilder?

I still have the same problem on my S23 Ultra. I also cant save or use my stickers with the Gallery and Samsung Keyboard anymore. I remember doing it on my S22. 😭

Samsung please fix this asap! 🙏

the custom stickers was the main reason i stayed with samsung and got the s24 ultra. It was such a cool feature with the pen. If they dont bring it back I wont get another samsung phone

Why would Samsung take away a custom feature?
This is why I am a Samsung customer.
I'm not an Apple customer because I like the custom features Samsung has always given me.

Bring back the option to use the S-Pen to select custom areas.

I also hate that they did this. Hate AI usually but they literally took all my freedom on my own phone and handed it to the stupid AI.

Finding this out today and I'm EXTREMELY frustrated, I can't make memes anymore! Why did they take usability away in the name of bad AI? I'm due for a new phone, this may be one straw too many to stay with Samsung.

Do we have any updates on this issue? It is very upsetting to lose the ability to manually control how stickers are cropped and to have useful features removed in a update.

How do you get to the editor? Is it a separate app?

Late to the convo here but just reminding you all that this problem is ongoing because I can't make good stickers anymore. So I'm bothered.

Say you're trying to add a sticker into an image / photo. But you need to turn an image from your gallery into a sticker to do so, and every time you attempt try, AI auto selects which part of the image to turn into sticker. Making it impossible, because it's usually completely wrong.  I've found a solution.

You need the Ai generate function on your phone.  (I have an s24)

Click on the image you want the sticker to go onto and press the blue AI generate button which is accessed by clicking on the small pen on the bottom tab. When you click on the blue AI generate button. Top left is a + button with the options  (Add from gallery) or (Paste from clipboard)

Using  (Add from gallery)  you can access the image you wish to turn into a sticker and add it in the image without the annoying auto crop problem.
