Apps and web page issue

I have noticed this for a while but I wasn't sure what is going on.

When there is a website that also has an app, and I am on an Android device and I want to access the website if I search on Google and I find that website and I press on it, I am taken to the app. Sometimes it takes alot of searching for me to find the proper website. I am not sure if this is a Google or Samsung issue, but I wonder why they did this. Websites have a purpose to be there and some things cannot be done from the app.

Go to settings > apps > choose default apps (at the top) > opening links > select an app who opens app instead of the web browser toggle it off

Or toggle it off completely in opening links section.

No, It wasn't a problem with your apps, half the internet was down because of Amazon, it affected 500 companies around the world

The question was why web browser links who has apps installed redirects to the app instead being on the web version. Like let's say i want to open reddit on the web and it redirects me to the app.

Yes lot of apps dont work as you mentioned.
