I got my s22+ phone in 2022 it worked fine until September 2024 when I got a notification to update the phone software. The following day suddenly a green line formed then followed by a white line then pink line so in total had 5 lines formed on my phone display on left right and middle of the phone screen.
Eventually brought my phone to Samsung service center they didn't disclose what's the exact issue but offered to change the display or screen for RM500+. they ordered the new screen and then once it's arrived they called me to come and they changed the screen within 2 hours. the warranty is only 3 months.
Now here is the best part. After 26 days on October 2024 I had the same issue again whereby at first only one line appeared then followed by many lines on my phone screen 😞 Again I brought the phone to Samsung service center, they said will order a new screen and change it for free since it's under warranty but didn't disclose what's causing this issue! it's been close to one week no news from Samsung!
This is soo frustrating!!! Is it hardware problem or what and we spent soo much on a phone and cannot use it for a longer term! I can't be spending each time and didn't drop the phone anywhere. Why this is happening does anybody knew if it's only hardware issue or something else?
The lines appeared after an update from Samsung & there has been no physical damage, so it was very shocking to encounter an issue like this, especially after an update. I didn't expect this from Samsung.
