I cut a 2mb video to make it shorter and the cut video is 10mb! How did it get bigger? What kind of stupid encoder does Samsung use? And why does it take so long to cut it too?

I just use an app called "Video Compressor." No need to upload/download from a website. In most cases it works just fine and the encoding algorithm is significantly better than Samsungs. I also like the fact that I have a lot of flexibility/options. If the video is intended to be shared once and disregard afterwards I can even change the audio settings to save even more storage space. Most of the time I'm looking to get videos under 15Mb as that's the limit for where I share a lot of videos. Using the app I can scale both the video and audio resolution/sample rate to get even longer videos in the order of several minutes under the threshold.

just use the app called Video Compressor. Been using it for a couple years with generally good outcomes.
