On Android 10, gBoard us supposed to theme the navbar/gesture bar to match the colour of the keyboard. This can be seen on devices such as the Pixels, Essential PH-1 and OnePlus 7Pro. My screenshot provided is a Pixel 3a.
This is broken on my S10+, not sure if it is for anyone else?
