Bottom of the home screen edge sidelines

Can someone tell me what are the two edge bottom of the home and lock screen lines for? They look like this kinda |_ _|

This could be the gesture hints,

 Go to Settings> Display> Navigation Bar> Gesture Hints to switch this off

I don't think it is because they were and are off.

If it's not gesture hints, then nothing really comes to my mind as to what it could have been 

Send us an error report using Beta Feedback option in  Samsung Members, so our developers can analyze the log files and give you an anwser!

Thanks! But it's some something that is permanent, I have them on the screen when I turn it on (on the lock screen) then swipe to unlock and for a couple of seconds on the home screen. Then they disappear.
