Will a reset phone still get beta updates?

I need to factory reset my phone that's currently on beta 3 for a friend to use for several months.

Will they still get beta updates and eventually the final release?

The beta software will remain and you'll just set up the phone as usual. The only way you'll remove beta software is if you withdraw and install the official version. Factory resetting will not remove your beta software.

Yes it will as I have done a factory reset on my s21 ultra 3 times.

Thanks. I did wonder if it not having the Samsung account that signed up for the beta on it would prevent future updates.

Basically once you do the factory reset, just log back in with your normal Samsung account and all be good.

Main difference is it won't be my Samsung account that's logging in as I'm loaning this device to a friend.

Ah still should be fine as you have registered for it and not withdrawn

I recommend withdrawing from Beta programme on your account and joining the Beta using your friend's Samsung Account on your phone. That would be the safest option 😊
