WhatsApp notifications

Has anyone else's WhatsApp stopped making a sound when receiving messages? I have checked all settings and restarted the app but don't get popups or sounds anymore but the app badge shows messages unread as does the notification pane.

Yes I'm having the same problem with WhatsApp beta on the Galaxy S10e since the recent Samsung update

Samsung galaxy s20+ with android 11 here and same problem, but i have a samsung a30s and the same problem.

I was on the WhatsApp beta version and this was happening so I left the beta program and got the regular WhatsApp and since then it's been working again.

I've been the same but wasn't sure if it was the one UI beta or the WhatsApp beta. I'm hoping there'll be a WhatsApp update today as there's usually one nearly every weekday that'll solve the problem

I still can hear a sound when receiving WhatsApp messages.

Please, try reinstalling the WhatsApp and check if any application updates are available.

If the situation won't improve, please report this issue via the Samsung Members application so that our developers can have a look into it .

Same problem here, no notification sound or vibration. I do get a pop up though. I've even gone as far as reinstalling and have the same issue, logged it as an issue so hopefully this will be sorted soon 🤷🏾

Yes!! Annoying as hell! No sound/vibration on either phone or galaxy watch but the notification icon still appears on both!

It was a bug in the WhatsApp beta version, should be fixed in the latest update.
