No idea but the icon makes me think that is somehow related to Messages app. Maybe it has something to do with Samsung Messages being a skin of Google Messages.
That's weird 🤔 Thanks for reporting! Please try to perform wipe cache partition. If that doesn't help - please send an error report through Samsung Members app so that the developers can take a look at what may be the cause.
Anna, support told me this is normal because I have dual messenger (WhatsApp) but it's not. I've tried it on my friends device and I'm 100% certain I didn't have all these duplicates despite having dual messenger. Samsung support people should be fired they are totally useless.
