Hey

I updated last week and afterwards my phone said its discounted, no service, network not available. 

I've done everything under the sun amd followed steps provided by giffgaff and Samsung forums.

Seems this has happened to a LOT of people.
I'm stuck. 

Has anyone resolved this please?

I have logged the error with Samsung.

To update this.. my phone is now showing another update- performance and security.
I'm reluctant to do this, but not sure if this is part 2 of the update

Anyone have any ideas please?

Hi there 👋 and welcome.
I'm really sorry to hear about the issue your having it must be beyond frustration..

As you mentioned in update, there's new update available, I suggest you to update, as usually if 1 update came with bugs and people was reporting to developers the next one they rolled out should be with fixed bugs and problems, as if you tried everything and nothing worked I think you should try and update and see if that will fix the issue even though it's not 100% guaranteed, but that's worth a try if issue still persists after update try keep reporting to developers or book a repairs with samaung.

Hey 👋🏻 Thank you. I have seen that others have updated and its not changed, but I'll try this.
I'm nervous as I'm not convinced its going to work. Also a bit strange that an update would cause an issue so a new update is there to fix it.
I hadn't updated my phone for a long time too.

Pretty bad on Samsung part with so many people facing the same issue. .I feel like I'm going to have to get a new phone which I can't afford.

If you tried everything thats in the book like safe mode, wipe cache partition, reset network settings, factory reset, checked your sim card if its not damaged, tried other sim card and see if it works with different sim, tried e-sim, used diagnostic tools in the app under support section, then only option I see is to try and update your phone and see if the issues will be fixed with the update if no then it would suggest to book a repairs with samsung.

I haven't tried safe mode, but reading the forums it seems people have tried everything and no change.

Then you could try safe mode and see if that helps you never know, sometimes what doesn't work for 10 people might work for 1. If anything fails including safe mode and update then there's an option to book a repair I'm afraid. And not a problem at all let's hope for the best 👌
