J6 July update problem

Yesterday(July 4th) I received an Android 10 update and security patch of June 2020 for my galaxy j6. Initially, it was working fine but after a while, it rebooted and got stuck on a black screen with Samsung written on it. It's been more than 10 hrs and it is showing no progress.

What should I do?

Should I reboot it forcefully?

I just pressed Volume down and power button for a few seconds and my phone rebooted perfectly.

Still can't figure out what was the problem exactly :smiling-face:

Are you able to enter into the phones settings to try and soft reboot it ?

 

samsung-galaxy-j6/softreset. 

 

Perhaps try hooking upto a computer and use Smartswitch.

 

Smartswitch. 

 

If not then a hard reset maybe an option but you could lose all your information through the process.

 

samsung-galaxy-j6/Hard Reset.  

 

Or drop into a Samsung Experience Store or Samsung Service Centre if local.
