How to attach file to email

Using an S21 Ultra. I'm trying to attach a file to an email but can only attach it as a link, I can't see an option to attach it as a file?

Hi there 👋 Google drive link could be added if file size is larger then 25MB, if you using Gmail or it could be due to blocked file type.

@Trillian22: Please can you confirm which email app you're using, and the format of the file that you're attempting to attach? 

In the meantime, please look for a paperclip icon while composing the email, as this is the 'attachment' option for the majority of email providers.

I use the default Samsung mail. It's not a large file (444kb) and it's a pdf.

Samsung default email app. I'm attaching using the paperclip. As soon as I click on it, it fetches a link.

@Trillian22: Is the .pdf file stored on your Galaxy S21 Ultra? Is the issue only affecting this particular file, or all files affected?
