My Galaxy s7 received an update today and has been in a cycle of updating and rebooting. How can I stop this? Whenever I try to reset then turn on again it goes back into the cycle.

Try > Clear Cache Files from the phone's System Partition Section > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files. There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too. @Keith14
As a last resort you may need to Back up and factory reset.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

I have to hold Volume down, home and power buttons to get out of the cycle . This gives a light blue screen with two options, continue or cancel. Continue takes me to Odin mode, and cancel takes me back to the update cycle. I can't get into any other menus. I'm beginning to think this needs to go back to Samsung for repair.
