All text messages apart from 1 have disappeared!

I ticked to remove 2 messages or so I thought. All my messages have gone except one which I have never seen before but it appears to be written in French.  I'm not going to open it. Dated 06/10/20. Any ideas?? Thankyou

On text messages click on the three dots top right And check the recycle bin they may be in there

If you have deleted them, you may be able to restore them from a previous back up. You can find the backup section under settings .
