I have a samsung galaxy s21 (g991b) and updated to the new ui 6.1 and now the touch is unresponsive. The screen works fully on other devices (both g991b and g991u1) but only on ui 6.0 i have tried everything and have had to install the original broken screen to get functionality back. I cant downgrade back to ui 6.0 because the binary was updated to B and the latest ui6.0 is on binary A leading to rev check fail. I cant get twrp installed on there either because i cant find a compatible one so unable to use a custom rom with an older binary. The affected screen is aftermarket but fully functional (on ui6.0 devices) any suggestions other than another new genuine samsung screen that costs more than a second hand device.

It appears to be a know issue with the S21 models, contact Samsung as you may require a new screen

It seems to be an issue with all the devices if im honest ive been looking into it for around 2 and a half weeks. Seems its samsung removing aftermarket parts compatability forcing us to pay £150 for thier screen when we can get aftermarkets ones much cheaper. I definitly wont be paying samsung any more money id rather bin all my devices. Thanks for the info though man hopefully samsung sorts this issue

Not on my S22ultra it hasn't but the S21 seems to be prone to that issue.

The S23 suffered too according to some users. This was attributed to unauthorised 3rd party screen replacements. Seems the S21 is affected too (again 3rd party screens).

Yeah this is what my research has shown i did put an a 3rd party diaplay myself (display works great but the ui6.1 has issues with it) are we thinking this is the end of 3rd party screens or do we think this will be fixed?

Unsure, but my guess is no. Samsung will argue that any 3rd party screen replacement will not be covered under warranty and any non genuine parts may have undesirable effects such as this. This is true of most companies.
