Lately my phone screen will stop responding to touch randomly, but it will respond to pulling the drop down menu and has no issued responding when tapping any of the options on that menu. But, as soon as the drop down menu is gone, the screen stops responding again. I can usually fix the issue by restarting the device, but it's only a matter of time until the issue starts happening again. Is there any know fix for this?

@Allysil: Based on the recurring nature of the issue, I recommend restarting your phone in Safe mode, as this will disable all third party apps and help to determine if the problem is stemming from an external source.
To enter Safe mode, press and hold the Power button until the 'Power off' prompt appears on the screen then release > Touch and hold Power off until the 'Safe mode' prompt appears then release > To confirm, tap Safe mode.
With Safe mode active, monitor the performance of the device for a few hours, based on the frequency that you encounter the issue. If you find that the screen remains responsive, then please restart your S20 FE as you would normally and uninstall any apps that you have added to the device since you first encountered the issue. It won't be possible to determine exactly which app is at fault, therefore I recommend approaching this via a process of elimination.

Hi Andrew, I have the same issue (occurred today). I tried factory reset my Samsung S20 FE, and it didn't help. After restart touch-creen is working for a minute or so, and then it stops working. I connected Bluetooth mouse to the phone, so I can operate it this way (so the problem is not in some kind of freeze, it is as if touchscreen just stops working after a while).

@Mykyta Yozhykov: Following the factory data reset, did you re-install any third party apps to the device? If so, please try removing them to see if you notice an improvement. I also recommend heading to Settings > Device care > Memory > Clean now, to see if you notice an improvement to the performance/responsiveness of the touch screen.

Andrew, I didn't have a chance to reinstall anything, since touchscreen became unresponsive after about a minute after factory reset.

@Mykyta Yozhykov: Based on the nature of your issue I recommend arranging for an authorised Samsung engineer to inspect the phone for you. To do so, please head to samsung.com > Scroll to the bottom of the page > Contact us, and get in touch via your preferred channel, and and advisor will be able to make the necessary arrangements for you.
