Screen keeps rotating out of full screen

Hello,

I've recently installed the latest update for my Samsung galaxy s20 fe. I'm not sure if it's related, but since yesterday my phone seems to rotate itself out of full screen. For example, YouTube will go from full screen back to portrait mode, if I'm watching netflix then whatever I'm watching will simply switch off and go back to my watch list.

My screen also glitches every now and again in portrait mode, where the screen flashes and pauses for a millisecond. I've tried turning off auto-rotation, tried locking my screen whilst in netflix and tried switching on landscape mode in my settings and nothing has worked, so not sure if it's necessarily a rotation issue and seems to be a problem with the phone rather than the individual apps.

Has anyone else recently come across a similar problem and have any advice?

Thank you.

Found possible solution on other forum.

Press and hold messages app icon.

Select letter "i" on upper corner

Disable "appear on top" option.

It seems that the messages app was interfering with other apps.

Good luck :winking-face:

That doesn't stop anything, the message app still opens, my screen still flashes randomly and I'm still unable to use my phone because of it. All that does is stop my text notifications from popping up.

This is ridiculous. Paying for a phone I can't even use.

Yep I have the same issue on the s25 ultra does it on YouTube, prime and Netflix so assuming it's video playback issue, I had wondered if there's a new setting where it times out the player if it can't see your face in the front facing camera, either way it seems like a widespread issue that needs a fix
